When abuse hits home

Most of you know that I was sexually assaulted at the age of 6 and then 3 times by 3 different men who used 3 different grooming methods in order to victimize me. In my journey to figure out who I was and why I acted and behaved the way I did throughout my life, I had to perform a deep dive into my past. What I initially thought were isolated incidents that simply "occurred" were in fact episodes of trauma inflicted on a child that should have never happened even if I thought I wanted it the violation to occur.

With my first abuser, I was looking for that father figure once I understood that my biological father had no interest in supporting or raising me. The second was a homeroom teacher who did not give me much of a choice in whether I submitted to him or not. The third presented himself as a big brother figure who ultimately wound up raping me.
This happens to young boys every day. In fact, I believe that it happens just as much with boys as it does with girls.
I decided to take the rights back from the original publisher and rebrand it under Four Brothers Publications by having it re-edited and overhauling the cover.

With child abuse being a hot subject in our country, this book (along with the activism that surrounds this topic) is one that depicts what the long lasting effects are,
Most abusers will not stop their behavior even if they know the suffering that their victim(s) will endure long after the act is over. I walked in shame for a good portion of my life as I tried to figure out what was wrong with me and how could I fix it.
This is my story.
